New rule in the "Youth Notebook": 50% support for student contracts...

Starting February 1, 2026, some social assistance provided through the "Youth Notebook" funds will be provided under a new procedure: now assistance will be provided to young people from families included in the "Register of Poor Families" through a youth social contract.

One of the most interesting issues is the payment contract. According to the new rules, students studying in vocational or higher education can be reimbursed up to 50% of the contract amount. But this does not automatically mean "the same for everyone": the amount of payment is determined depending on the degree to which the terms of the social contract are being fulfilled.

There is another important restriction: the total amount of this assistance should not exceed 50 BRV per academic year. That is, no matter how large the contract, there is a compensation limit.

The idea of this change is simple: to make assistance targeted, to deliver funds to young people who really need it, and at the same time to strengthen the mechanism of accountability. In short, it's a signal that says "if you choose to study - results and discipline are also important."

If you or your loved ones are counting on such help, the best course of action is to organize your documents and take the terms of the social contract seriously. Because this assistance is not just a bonus, but an investment in the future.
