In Uzbekistan, the creation of artificial barriers and unevenness on roads is now prohibited. On April 7, the Senate discussed the new "Automobile Roads Law," which places special emphasis on traffic safety. The goal of the law is to eliminate errors and barriers on roads, reduce accidents, and protect human life.
According to the law, the movement of heavy and large vehicles will be permitted only with special authorization. Additionally, road design will take into account the impact on people and the environment, as well as the requirement to create barrier-free environments for pedestrians.
During the discussions in the Senate, the fundamental principles of the law were clearly outlined. Every decision must be made based on scientific calculations, ensuring traffic safety, environmental protection, and citizens' interests.
The experiences of Kazakhstan, Korea, China, France, and Italy were studied when drafting the law. Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the law should meet modern requirements, as the projects to be implemented and the design of roads will consider public opinions.
The new reforms in the road sector, including the creation of specialized bodies for road management and a unified system of state policy, are enshrined in the law.
This law is a significant step in the development of road infrastructure, improving conditions for freight transport, and ensuring public safety, and it will play a key role in the country's future growth.
