The Chelsea board has signed a four-year contract with Alonso running until 2030. Interestingly, the club introduced him not just as a "head coach" but as a "manager." As a reminder, previous managers Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior could not stay at the club for long. In particular, Rosenior's dismissal after just three and a half months showed how difficult the environment within the team is.
