The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Malaysian Museum of Islamic Arts as part of his official visit.
It is worth noting that this complex is one of the largest museums in the country. It was founded in 1998.
The museum is built in the style of traditional Islamic architecture, and its total area is more than 30 thousand square meters.
Uzbek craftsmen participated in the decoration and restoration of the interior of the building's dome.
More than 10 thousand examples of Islamic art are stored here. The permanent exhibition features a unique collection of Quranic manuscripts, ceramics and precious objects, weapons and models of buildings, jewelry, coins and other items.
The museum's collection includes about 200 unique exhibits created in various historical periods on the territory of modern Uzbekistan. Among them are medieval manuscripts, jewelry, famous fabrics and clothing samples, and pottery from the Eastern Renaissance.
While viewing the exhibits, the head of our state emphasized the importance of conducting joint research and organizing exhibitions, as well as expanding scientific and cultural exchange.
