As soon as Donald Trump came to power, he said that he would clear Gaza of Gazans and establish control over these lands. This means de facto handing over the sector to Israel. At first, many did not take this seriously, thinking it was a negotiation tactic. But Trump is really looking for a place to resettle Gazans.
The US president is putting a lot of pressure on Arab countries to achieve this goal. He intends to resettle more than two million Gazans and completely give these lands to Israel. An unprecedented act of brutality, an attempt at open ethnic cleansing.
Gaza, Palestine have been crying blood for 77 years. Israel, which was established in 1948, has been relentlessly oppressing and oppressing them. Israel is only expanding. Palestine has not yet been established. Until now, Israel has been lying by saying, “One day, a Palestinian state will be established, but not now.” Today, it is fearlessly saying, “Don’t hope, a Palestinian state will never be established.”
Israel trusts the US, leans on the West, is not afraid, has done and is doing what it knows how to do.
So, why is the Muslim world of more than two billion people silent? Why has the West become so powerful? What is at the heart of its power? Why has the Muslim world fallen into such a state of strategic weakness and helplessness?
The West is growing stronger through liberalism. Freedom is a very powerful feeling, and its opposite, oppression, dependence, or slavery, is a state that destroys human dignity. People in all nations and civilizations are born with equal abilities. Some people are not born with a strong brain, while others are born with a low intelligence. Only the situation in those societies and states, the political systems, the established rules of the game make some of these nations very powerful and some weak. When freedom is the main rule in the relations between people in society, when oppression is not allowed, when the relationship between free people is based on competition, societies create great national wealth - legality. The growth of these states' economic, political, and military power - legality.
The West grows stronger through democracy, through the rule of law, through economic and political liberalism, and has achieved global power. Most Muslim states have not yet been able to establish a balance between their own identities, security, freedom, and secular statehood.
States are also like people. Imagine, if a ditch appears on the road, someone jumps in without fear and continues on their way. Another person, frightened by himself, says, "What if I fall into the ditch while jumping?" and stands frozen in front of the ditch.
By giving freedom to society and introducing political pluralism, the state and society accelerate their progress and development. States that are afraid of not being able to give freedom to society are reminiscent of people who are stuck in their places, unable to jump over the same ditch.
In Uzbek society, there is a view that “democracy, liberalism are the weapons of the West, a technology of subjugation.” In fact, it is the exact opposite. According to democracy, whatever the values and interests of society are, whatever the majority wants, that is reflected in domestic and foreign policy. A free society determines the internal and external course of its government. The government operating over a free society is also free, energetic and active. As a result, a free state over a free society, and if the situation requires it, it can freely argue with both the West and the East.
To illustrate this situation, we can cite two poles in the Middle East: authoritarian and relatively democratic. Saudi Arabia or Egypt are authoritarian states. These states are dependent on their own people, and therefore need external patronage. Turkey, on the other hand, is relatively democratic - the elections are fair, there is political competition, power changes, there is an opposition in parliament.
So, why are Saudi Arabia or Egypt often silent about Gaza and Palestine, and why is Turkey more active? The reason is simple. Because Turkey is relatively democratic, it is not afraid of its people, feels the will of its people, and can rely on its people to go against the West. Saudi Arabia or Egypt, on the other hand, are authoritarian, and because of their deep conflict with their people, they are submissive to the external patronage - the United States or the West.
Democracy does not mean weak statehood. Democracy is a strong alliance of the people and the government based on freedom. The Muslim world will need to accept democracy in order to overcome its weakness, to be able to express the will of its people in domestic and foreign policy, and to be able to stand up to the West when the time comes.
Democracy works for the benefit of the society who accepts it. Whoever is in the majority - their will will prevail, but the shortcomings will not be oppressed.
USA is a democratic country. Americans voted for Trump. Trump's electorate is Christian fundamentalists, Christian Zionists. Jewish extremists are in power in Israel. They want to fulfill the wishes of their people and seize the land, homeland, and homes of Gazans. And the Muslim world of two billion is silent.
In order for us to become powerful, we must achieve unity between the state and the people, a free and active society, and a powerful and vocal state. Otherwise, we will be seen as prey in the struggle of the powerful that has begun in the world. To do this, first of all, teach your children to think freely and critically, give them knowledge and political intelligence. This is the primary task that depends on us.
