Before the World Championship, our men’s and women’s national teams will take part in an international joint training camp in England. Our men’s team will depart for Sheffield tomorrow, while our women will join the team on August 20. This camp, which will run until September 1, will serve as the final stage of preparation ahead of the World Championship to be held on September 4–14 in the city of Liverpool.
During the training in Sheffield, the teams will aim to adapt to the climate, fine-tune the load regimen, and, through sparring, find the competition-specific speed and rhythm. In particular, control bouts against high-level opponents, medical monitoring, and recovery protocols will be set up. Every day of preparation counts before the ceremonial start in Liverpool — team staffs will make further decisions based on the conclusions drawn from these sessions.

During the camp, tactical plans for each weight category will be worked out meticulously: priority will be given to decision-making speed at fighting distance, discipline in transition from attack to defense, and the distribution of load by rounds. The coaching staff will also prepare backup scenarios — Plans A, B, and C may be applied against opponents of differing styles.
Another significance of this step on the threshold of the championship is to strengthen internal competition in a healthy way. Those who manage to show themselves in sparring will have the opportunity to contend for leading roles on the Liverpool list. Accordingly, the recovery-assessment block will also be reinforced: through load sensors, blood metrics, and functional tests, the state of each athlete will be kept under constant control.
This was reported by the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation. Upon completion of the camp, additional information is expected regarding the final roster of the national teams, target indicators, and the schedule of the start day in Liverpool. The national teams, for their part, are committed to not losing focus in the final moments and to maintaining confidence and discipline.
