Four Uzbek citizens accused of crimes in the US and Turkey have been deported to Uzbekistan. According to official reports, two of them were flown from New York under the escort of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to Tashkent International Airport.
The other two were deported from Istanbul. Upon arrival, all four individuals were handed over to the National Central Bureau of Interpol and local law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
Authorities stated that these individuals are accused of tax evasion, large-scale fraud, and other criminal activities. They had been placed on the international wanted list and were detained with the cooperation of foreign agencies.
Experts emphasize that deporting criminals and handing them over to judicial authorities represents an important step in upholding the rule of law in Uzbekistan.
