SpaceX’s Starlink internet service is expected to launch in Uzbekistan in the coming years. Initially planned for 2023, the rollout was later delayed to 2025, and now the company’s website suggests a potential start in 2026.
Starlink operates through low-orbit satellites positioned about 550 km above Earth. The system delivers high-speed internet with low latency, making it possible for rural areas to access video calls, online education, and streaming services seamlessly.
On August 13, the service was officially launched in Kazakhstan. Pricing includes two plans: Residential Lite for 23,000 tenge (about 43 USD) and Residential Standard for 31,000 tenge (about 57.5 USD).
Experts say Starlink’s entry into Uzbekistan could mark a major step forward in the nation’s digital infrastructure development.
