Irgashev: Afghanistan no longer a threat to peace

Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met with the governor of Balkh province, Muhammad Yusuf Vafo, in Mazar-i-Sharif, uz24.uz reported.

Irgashev highlighted that relations between Tashkent and Kabul are strengthening and stated that Afghanistan no longer poses a threat to regional peace. He also called on states to refrain from interfering in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.

Muhammad Yusuf Vafo noted that friendly relations between the two countries are beneficial for both sides.

Uzbekistan and Afghanistan agreed to hold a joint economic forum in May 2025, which will help promote trade and transit through Balkh. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
