In Tajikistan, the requirements for employees working in the internal affairs system are very strict. They must have not only professional qualifications and discipline, but also comply with the established standards in physical training and appearance. Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs paid attention to the problem of excess weight and dismissed from service employees who did not meet these requirements.
According to the data, last year the Ministry of Internal Affairs dismissed 30 employees due to overweight, who did not meet the requirements for physical appearance. After a year, only 13 of them managed to lose weight and return to service. The rest still have not been able to reach the established norm.
This was reported by the head of the personnel and staff management department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Husayn Khalilzoda. According to him, last year about 20 thousand employees passed a general physical training test, and among them 30 people were dismissed from their positions due to exceeding the weight norm. However, they were given the opportunity — if they reduce their weight to the established limit, they can return to service.
According to the rules of the ministry, in order to serve in the police of Tajikistan, male candidates must be at least 168 cm tall, and female candidates at least 160 cm. At the same time, their weight must correspond to their height and not exceed the established standards.
According to experts, such strict requirements are aimed at improving the physical condition of employees, increasing the efficiency of service, and ensuring the safety of the population. Because every person working in the internal affairs system must be prepared not only physically but also morally.
