In the city of Karshi, an important and responsible exercise was held – a training activity aimed at ensuring flight search and rescue operations. Through such exercises, the level of preparedness for emergency situations is increased, and the coordination skills of personnel and technical means are tested.
According to the scenario of the event, during the decisive maneuver before landing, a large passenger plane with 150 passengers and 5 crew members on board suddenly stops transmitting a signal and disappears from radar screens within a 12-kilometer radius from the airfield. This is assessed as a possible major disaster.
Based on this situation, the pre-prepared and approved plan is put into action. According to it, designated forces and means are sent in the prescribed manner to search for the location of the emergency, to identify it, and to eliminate its consequences. In this process, it is required that each service perform its duties clearly and coherently.
A total of about 150 personnel took part in the exercise. In addition, 22 units of special equipment of interdepartmental structures were involved. Among them, 80 qualified employees of Karshi airport and 7 units of its special equipment actively participated.
Experts emphasize that such exercises are of great importance for strengthening the security system and for rapid response in various situations. Especially in emergencies related to large passenger aircraft, precise and collective actions are the decisive factor in saving human lives.
