 The month of August is traditionally a time for preparing for school and making the necessary purchases, becoming unofficially the month for shopping for school supplies. For many people in Uzbekistan, the most convenient option is traditional markets. People have gotten used to visiting them and personally selecting all the items they need.

Stationery:

  Black pencil (3 pieces) – 6,000 UZS;
  12-page notebook (10 pieces) – 20,000 UZS;
  General notebook (15 pieces) – 50,000 UZS;
  Colored pencils (12 colors) – 15,000 UZS;
  Folder (book) – 15,000 UZS;
  Folder (notebook) – 8,000 UZS;
  Pencil case – 15,000 UZS;
  Sharpener – 9,000 UZS;
  Eraser – 6,000 UZS;

School Uniform:

For boys:

For one boy, the school market expenses amount to approximately 1,096,000 UZS, while for one girl, it amounts to 1,206,000 UZS. If there are two children in the family, the total expenses for school supplies come to approximately 2,300,000 UZS.
