Thailand Lifts Daytime Ban on Alcohol Sales

The Government of Thailand has lifted the ban on daytime alcohol sales. Alcohol can now be sold between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, as reported by Thai PBS. This decision came into effect on December 3 and will remain valid for 180 days. 

At the end of this period, the government will analyze the results of the decision. However, the existing permitted sales hours, namely from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to midnight, will remain unchanged.

In the first ten months of 2025, 230,800 citizens from Uzbekistan visited Thailand. The number of Uzbekistani tourists traveling abroad has increased by 24.7% compared to the previous year.
