The Civil Registry Office has released a list of the most unusual names given to newborns in Moscow for 2025, RIA Novosti writes.
The head of the capital's Civil Registry Office, Svetlana Ukhaneva, reported that the most unusual names were Grach, Frol, and for women - Luchezar and Olimpiada. The list also included Oceana, Iskra, Thor, and Mars.
Apparently, the parents in Moscow decided to take an example from the Kardashian family and worked especially carefully on the uniqueness of their children's names in 2025.
Among the less unusual names for boys, such names as Prohor, Korneus, Trofim, Yenisei, and Yemelyan were encountered. For the girls, Marusya, Emilia, Lira, and Yenisey were chosen. For the parents, old Russian folklore seemed to serve as an inspiration.
