Electronic auctions for the sale of Domodedovo Airport for 132 billion rubles did not take place. This was reported by RBK.
According to the publication, only one application was submitted for the auction from individual entrepreneur Evgeny Bogatogoy. The commission did not allow the man to participate in the auction, as he did not provide all the documents.
In June 2025, Domodedovo Airport was transferred to state ownership by the decision of the Moscow Region Arbitration Court. The court acknowledged that the airport beneficiaries, while being residents of other countries (Turkey, UAE, and Israel), owned strategic assets for the country and exported profits abroad, violating Russian law.
At the end of last year, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated that the auction for the privatization of Domodedovo will be held at the beginning of 2026, and potential investors have been found. In mid-January, Domodedovo was put up for sale on Avito for 132 billion rubles.
