The School of Decorative Crafts was opened in Tashkent

In Tashkent city, the Naqsh Craft School has started its activity. This project was established in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts and the British King's Foundation School of Traditional Arts (KFSTA). The head of the Uzbekistan Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, announced the opening of the school. For many years, the KFSTA school has been teaching masters from various parts of the world in the fields of architecture, ornamentation, calligraphy, and traditional crafts. Now, this experience is also being implemented in Uzbekistan. In its first year, the Naqsh School will organize five courses. The first course will be held in Tashkent, and the next course will take place at Ulugbek Madrasah in Samarkand. In Samarkand, students will be taught Islamic art ornaments using examples from XV-century monuments.
