Vera Alentova has passed away
Russian People's Artist Vera Alentova has passed away at the age of 83. The Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater, where the actress served, confirmed her death.

She had been working at this theater since 1965. The cause of her death was a myocardial infarction.

According to media reports, Alentova felt unwell on December 25 during a farewell ceremony for actor Anatoliy Lobotskiy at the Mayakovsky Theater. Vera Alentova was born on February 21, 1942, in the Arkhangelsk region.

She lived for some time in Ukraine and Uzbekistan. In 1965, she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio.

The actress began her film career in 1965 with the movie "Dni letnye" (Summer Days). She achieved worldwide fame through her role as Katerina Tikhomirova in the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears."

Additionally, she is remembered for her performances in films such as "Tomorrow Was the War," "Shirli-Myrli," and "Envy of the Gods."
