The Iranian leader praised the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon and expressed support for its leadership. According to the Tasnim agency, in his statement, Khamenei emphasized that the organization's Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qasim, is leading the movement "in a delicate and historic period."
"May Hezbollah succeed in preventing the implementation of the Zionist enemy's (Israel's) plans, defeating it, and restoring peace and honor to the Lebanese people," Khameneisaid.
Mujtabo Khamenei also pledged to continue supporting the US and Israel's resistance.
