Significant benefit for children of educators studying at universities

Another positive step is being taken to support the teachers and mentors who are the devotees of enlightenment in our country. Now, for the children of educators studying in full-time programs at state higher education institutions, it is planned that the state will cover 30 percent of the tuition fee. A draft government resolution providing for this innovation has currently been submitted for public discussion.
Who is eligible for the benefit?
This relief applies to all pedagogical staff working in the education system under an employment contract. Notably, the teacher's length of service or qualification category does not matter. Every educator whose child is a student will have the right to use this opportunity.
Limitations and conditions: What should you know?
There are some important aspects of the new procedure that should be taken into account. The benefit will not be applied:
Non-state (private) universities: Valid only for state higher education institutions.
Form of education: Part-time, evening, and distance learning programs are not included.
Level: The benefit is only for undergraduate students and does not apply to master's or joint programs.
Super-contract: No discount is provided for those admitted on the basis of a high tuition fee (super-contract).
How will the calculation work?
According to the project, the discount is provided separately for each academic year. Let's look at this with a simple example:
If a student's annual tuition fee is 15 million soums , the state will cover 4.5 million soums due to the 30 percent benefit. As a result, the educator's family will pay 10.5 million soums for their child's education.
Application procedure
Importantly, this discount is not calculated automatically. Those who wish to use it must submit an online application within the specified deadlines each year. Also, if the parent stops their pedagogical activity, the discount will be discontinued from the following academic year.
This initiative is expected to be an important social reform aimed at increasing the material well-being of our educators and helping their children receive quality education.
In your opinion, to what extent will the introduction of such benefits serve to increase the prestige of teachers in the education system?
