Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi commented on the possibility of a US ground military intervention on the country’s territory. According to him, Washington’s willingness to take such a step is highly doubtful.
In his statement, Araghchi emphasized that the US side fully understands the potential consequences of such an attack. “I do not think they will make such a decision. If they do, they will face very heavy losses,” the minister said.
At the same time, he referred to the damage inflicted on US military infrastructure during recent clashes. In particular, he mentioned intelligence and aerial surveillance systems, including AWACS aircraft.
According to the minister, possible ground combat operations would be a more favorable scenario for Iran. “In ground warfare, we are significantly stronger,” he stressed.
At the end of his statement, Araqchi noted that the country is ready for any external threats. According to him, Iran’s army and defense system have sufficient capabilities to ensure territorial security.
Experts note that such sharp statements may further escalate the geopolitical situation in the region.
