John Deere will supply $300 million worth of equipment to Uzbekistan


The American company John Deere signed an agreement with the government of Uzbekistan to supply $300 million worth of agricultural machinery. This contract was signed as part of bilateral agreements held with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and US Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnick.

Half of the funds, that is, $150 million, will be allocated for the purchase of cotton harvesters manufactured at the John Deere plant in Iowa, USA. In addition, a contract was signed between Uzbekistan and the Boeing Corporation to deliver eight new 787 Dreamliner aircraft for Uzbekistan Airways.

As a result, Uzbekistan’s total order portfolio has reached 22 aircraft. These agreements were reached as part of a major business meeting between the United States and Central Asian countries.

Agreements worth over $25 billion were announced at the event, including projects related to Uzbekistan.
