
In November of this year, the annual inflation rate in Uzbekistan reached 7.5%, while the monthly figure stood at 0.7%. This was reported in a statement from the State Statistics Committee.
According to calculations by the committee's experts, the average monthly price increase was recorded at 0.6%, compared to 0.8% in the previous year. Among the regions, Fergana region leads with an annual inflation growth of 8%.
In Surkhandarya and Syrdarya regions, this figure was 7.8%. Meanwhile, the capital Tashkent recorded an inflation rate of 7.3%.
The report noted that over the past year, the prices of utility services increased by 17%, food products by 5.7%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 6.4%, and medical services by 6.1%. Within a single month, gasoline prices rose by 1.7%, while since the beginning of the year, they increased by 9.2%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the average price of AI-80 gasoline ranged from 8,500 soums to 9,800 soums per liter, while AI-95 and AI-98 gasoline prices ranged from 12,000 soums to 18,000 soums. On an annual basis, transport costs rose by 12.1%, and restaurant and hotel services increased by 9%.
At the same time, inflation in the finance and insurance sectors decreased by 1%, the report noted.
