Uzbekistan among leading gold purchasers

In October, Uzbekistan's Central Bank became one of the largest gold purchasers in the world. According to a report by the World Gold Council (WGC), Uzbekistan acquired 9 tons of precious metal, securing the third position among global central banks.
Poland and Singapore led the rankings, each purchasing 16 tons of gold. Overall, the net gold purchases by global central banks increased by 36 percent compared to September, reaching 53 tons.
Other buyers included Indonesia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Kyrgyzstan. Since the beginning of the year, global central banks have purchased a total of 254 tons of gold.
Poland remains the largest buyer with 83 tons, followed by Kazakhstan in second place.
