Starting from 2026, farmers who independently cultivate at least 50 percent of their crops will receive subsidies amounting to 5 percent. This was mentioned in a congratulatory message addressed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to agricultural workers.
Additionally, farms without outstanding debts will be eligible to receive concessional loans with an annual interest rate of up to 2 percent. These measures are aimed at strengthening the financial stability of the agricultural sector and encouraging independent production.
The congratulatory message also highlighted recent achievements in the sector. Over 3,000 farms harvested 50-60 quintals of cotton per hectare, while approximately 1,500 farms exceeded this figure, achieving over 70 quintals per hectare.
In grain production, more than 3,500 farms achieved an average yield of 100 quintals per hectare. Furthermore, an increase in export potential was noted: the number of countries importing fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan has grown by 18, reaching a total of 83.
