
Between December 5 and 12, the segment of highly liquid stocks on the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange experienced a positive atmosphere. By the end of the week, the market's main indicator — the UCI index increased by 2.31%, signaling a revival of investor activity.
During this period, the largest increase was observed in Garant Bank shares, which rose by 20.08% over the week. Additionally, Trastbank shares grew by 12.57%, while the shares of the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UzRTXB) saw a rise of 5.42%.
However, not all companies had a successful week. Shares of Uzbektelecom dropped by 12.97%, marking the biggest loss of the week. Similarly, shares of the Business Development Bank decreased by 10.23%, and Hamkorbank shares fell by 4.21%.
Some stocks remained stable during the week. Notably, shares of Aloqabank and Dori-Darmon maintained their value and were among the few issuers to show no changes.
In terms of trading activity, UzRTXB led the market with 557 transactions completed during the week. It was followed by Hamkorbank (436 transactions) and Uzmetkombinat (362 transactions).
When it comes to trading volume, Hamkorbank took the top spot with 785.71 million soum. It was followed by UzRTXB (391.54 million soum) and Uzpromstroybank (156.20 million soum), completing the top three.
Throughout the week, 16 highly liquid stocks showed an increase, 2 remained unchanged, and 11 stocks showed a decline. The total volume of transactions completed on the main trading platform amounted to 93.77 billion soum.
It is worth noting that a week earlier, the UCI index had declined by 3.31%. The growth observed this week indicates a return of positive sentiment in the market and a gradual restoration of investor confidence.
