State budget for 2026 approved
The law on the state budget of Uzbekistan for 2026 has been adopted. This document sets out the parameters for forming and executing the budget for the upcoming financial year.

According to the law, state budget revenues are planned at 368.9 trillion soum, while expenditures are set at 402.6 trillion soum. The budget deficit is projected to not exceed 3% of the gross domestic product, and inflation is expected to remain under 7%.

In 2026, 220 trillion soum will be allocated to the social sector. Of this amount, 100 trillion soum will be directed toward education, and 49 trillion soum will be allocated to healthcare.

Furthermore, the parameters of targeted funds have also been approved: revenues will amount to 78.6 trillion soum, and expenditures will be 74.4 trillion soum. The law will come into force on January 1, 2026.

This law determines the minimum rental rates, fee limits for the retail trade of certain goods, as well as fee rates for the entry and transit of foreign vehicles. Priority areas of budget policy for the coming year have been defined as the development of the "green" economy, environmental protection, and regional infrastructure improvement.
