False accusations exposed, three men arrested

Several days ago, a sensational story spread on social media related to the city of Ohangaron. A group of teenagers claimed that a traffic police (PPX) officer took a 14-year-old girl and her friend to a mountainous area and behaved inappropriately toward them. The post attracted widespread public attention and quickly became a topic of heated discussion.

On the same day, the Department of Public Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that an investigation had been launched. The officer mentioned in the posts was also temporarily suspended from duty. The official statement noted that if the alleged incidents were confirmed, strict legal measures, including criminal liability, would be applied.

However, the situation later took an unexpected turn. On May 2, the Tashkent Regional Prosecutor's Office stated that the accusations were unfounded. As reported by press secretary Bobur To'laganov, testimonies of participants and witnesses, as well as investigation results, showed the accusations to be baseless.

The young man who made the accusations acknowledged his mistake in his own statement. He admitted that in the video he had previously distributed, he had unjustly accused the traffic officer and realized that his actions were wrong.

At the same time, it was revealed that when summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs building, he also failed to comply with the lawful demands of officers and is accused of causing a disturbance on the premises. Additionally, investigations continue regarding intentional defamation of law enforcement officers, spreading false information online, and group damage to a vehicle.

This incident once again demonstrated how dangerous it is to trust any information spread on social media without verification. Law enforcement agencies have shown their firm stance in taking legal action in such cases.
