Strict measures are being implemented in Tashkent against vehicles that violate parking and stopping rules. According to the Traffic Management Center, vehicles left in prohibited areas will be towed to designated impound lots.
Efforts to create an orderly and safe urban environment in the capital are entering a new phase. In particular, cars left on sidewalks, near public transport stops, crosswalks, green zones, and no-parking areas are severely hindering pedestrian movement.
The Center noted that such incidents are regularly observed in various districts of the capital. Some drivers leave their vehicles on pedestrian paths, in front of bus stops, or in locations that obstruct the movement of special vehicles.
This affects not only traffic flow but also public safety. It creates significant inconvenience, especially for the elderly, parents with strollers, people with disabilities, and children. The risk increases when pedestrians are forced to walk on the roadway instead of the sidewalk.
Therefore, towing operations for rule-breaking vehicles will be intensified in Tashkent. Cars parked in violation of traffic rules will be moved to impound lots using specialized equipment.
The Traffic Management Center stated that the main goal of these measures is to establish order on the streets, ensure traffic safety, and keep public spaces accessible and convenient for residents. This initiative also helps reduce obstacles for public transport, ambulances, fire services, and other emergency vehicles.
The Center urged drivers to strictly follow traffic rules when choosing a place to stop or park. Drivers are requested not to leave vehicles in prohibited areas, places that obstruct pedestrians or public transport, or areas that pose a threat to safety.
In short, the excuse of "I'll only be a minute" may now prove costly in Tashkent. A car should be parked in a legal spot, not just a convenient one. When there is order in the city, pedestrians, drivers, and public transport can all move freely.
