The Ministry of Justice has registered a resolution that establishes the procedures for opening and closing bank accounts. Customers in Uzbekistan can now open escrow accounts.
Escrow accounts are utilized for agreements related to electronic marketplaces, shared contracts, and other sectors. Additionally, Uzbek citizens can now submit documents for opening a bank account online via the Public Services Portal or the "Social Card" application.
Non-resident individuals, if they already have an account with the bank, can remotely open new accounts. Another update among the new rules is that deposit and metal accounts for children under 14 years of age can only be opened by parents or guardians.
Teenagers aged 14 to 18, however, can open these accounts independently. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
