In Urgut district of Samarkand region, a driver who was driving with a homemade license plate was held administratively liable. It was found that the citizen had installed a self-made plate reading “01 777 PPX” on a Lacetti car and drove with it for approximately half an hour.
During the inspection, it was established that the vehicle’s official license plate was “30 X 877 OB”. The driver stated that he did this not with malicious intent, but solely for taking photos.
According to the court decision, the citizen was found guilty of violating the law and fined an amount equal to 50 base calculation units — 20,600,000 soums. In addition, the counterfeit license plates were ordered to be destroyed.
It is noted that as of December 25, 2025, the license plate “01 777 PPX” had not been officially assigned to anyone. In short, the desire to create a “nice shot” turned out to be quite costly for the driver.
