
The Uzbek national team won 20 medals at the international belt wrestling tournament held in India. This was reported by Dunyo AA.
Athletes from India, Russia and Uzbekistan took part in the tournament hosted by the city of Rotak. The wrestlers took to the mat in the classical and freestyle belt wrestling disciplines. The Uzbek national team included Hanaboy Urayimov, Abbos Akhmadjonov, Murodjon Khamidov, Dostonbek Obidjonov, Samandar Abdusalomov, Azimjon Yuldoshev, Farangis Abdunabieva and Shirinoy Yuldosheva, who won gold medals.

During the tournament, representatives of the three countries reached an agreement to organize this competition annually. The parties also awarded Uzbekistan the right to host the 2026 tournament.
