Famous Tajik blogger and singer Abduroziq has reportedly been arrested by police at Dubai International Airport. According to local media, the 21-year-old social media star is suspected of theft. An official investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Reports indicate that Abduroziq arrived in Dubai early in the morning from Montenegro and was taken into custody immediately at the airport. Authorities have not yet issued a detailed public statement regarding the incident, and the exact circumstances remain unclear. However, the arrest has quickly become a topic of widespread attention online.
Standing approximately one meter tall, Abduroziq is widely known across Central Asia and the Middle East. His fame comes from satirical and comedic videos, musical performances, and appearances in various reality shows — most notably, his participation in India’s Bigg Boss 16.
Over the past three years, he had been residing in Dubai under a long-term “golden visa.” In 2024, he made his boxing debut at Coca Cola Arena and also launched his own restaurant brand “Habibi” in the UK.
Abduroziq is extremely popular on social media, with more than 8 million followers on Instagram. His posts often generate viral responses and are widely shared among fans.
This is not the first time Abduroziq has been involved in legal proceedings. In 2023, he was questioned by Indian authorities as a witness in a money laundering investigation related to the hotel industry. At that time, he was not accused of any crime.
