Elevators Will Now Be Rated with Color Labels

An important decision has been made in Uzbekistan regarding the control and safety of elevators. According to Cabinet Resolution No. 431 dated July 12, 2025, a new regulation on the procedure for conducting technical inspections of elevators has been approved.

According to the new procedure, elevators installed in buildings and used continuously must undergo a mandatory technical inspection at least once every 12 months, i.e., once a year.

Any elevator that is being commissioned or newly installed must undergo a preliminary inspection before being registered in the special electronic information system.

The preliminary inspection must be carried out by a specialized organization within no more than 10 working days based on the application of the elevator installation contractor.

Based on the results of the technical inspection, an informational label indicating the condition is attached to each elevator:

“Green” — for elevators fully suitable for operation;

“Blue” — for elevators with minor malfunctions;

“Yellow” — for elevators found to be faulty;

“Red” — for elevators deemed hazardous to use.

— Elevators with a red label are prohibited from use.

If an elevator receives a red label as a result of the inspection, its use is strictly prohibited. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
