The legendary Brazilian footballer Rivaldo, who also played for Bunyodkor and won the national championship with the team in 2008, 2009, and 2010, gave valuable advice to Barcelona leader Lamin Yamal, considered one of the youngest stars of modern football. He believes Yamal's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or next year are very high.
Rivaldo in an interview with the Spanish publication Sport.es:
"Lamin has all the qualities necessary to win the Ballon d'Or next year. I expect his current season to be much brighter and more productive than the previous one. Yamal should not be limited to demonstrating his playing style to the whole world. He should regularly score more goals and increase his teammates' assists. Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi also reached great heights in this way."
As is known, Rivaldo himself, playing for AC Milan in 1999, was recognized as the best player of the year and won the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.
As a reminder, Lamin Yamal took second place at the 2025 Ballon d'Or ceremony. This year's award went to PSG striker Ousmane Dembélé.
Thus, Rivaldo's advice can serve for Yamal not only as spiritual support, but also as a roadmap towards new goals. If the young talent directs his attention and work correctly, it is possible that he will become the next winner of the "Golden Ball" next season.
