On September 26, the Russian Ministry of Justice updated the register of foreign agents. The new list included film critic Zinaida Pronchenko.
According to the ministry’s website, Pronchenko participated in the creation and distribution of foreign agents’ materials, spread “unreliable information” about the decisions and policies of the Russian government, and also spoke out against the special operation in Ukraine. It is also specified that she currently resides outside the Russian Federation.
The updated list also included media manager Demyan Kudryavtsev, journalist Andrey Kalitin, Pussy Riot lawyer Dmitry Zakhvatov, and the independent literary award “DAR.”
According to the Ministry of Justice, all these individuals also took part in creating and distributing materials of foreign agents or organizations recognized as undesirable in Russia. They also spread “unreliable information” about the decisions and policies of the state authorities of the Russian Federation.
For reference: according to the ministry, Zakhvatov heads a project aimed at raising funds for Ukrainian military forces.
