Famous Italian footballer and coach, the 2006 Ballon d’Or winner Fabio Cannavaro, according to “Sport-Express,” simultaneously declined offers from the national teams of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Sources report that the 52-year-old specialist politely gave a negative response to these offers. Cannavaro’s main goal at the moment is to return to Italy and, if the opportunity arises during the season, to take charge of one of the Serie A clubs.
Earlier, media in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reported that negotiations with Cannavaro were underway. However, the legendary footballer is focusing his attention on the possibility of working in Europe, especially in Italy.
It should be recalled that during his coaching career Cannavaro managed Al-Ahli, Guangzhou Evergrande, Al-Nassr, Tianjin Quanjian, the Chinese national team, as well as in Europe led Benevento, Udinese, and Zagreb’s Dinamo.
