Uzbekistan Boxers Achieve Success in International Tournament

Uzbekistan's national boxing team continues its successful participation in the international World Boxing tournament. On the latest day of competition, several team members advanced to the semifinals, while some concluded their journeys in the quarterfinals.

In the 57 kg weight category, Sitorakhon Turdibekova faced Taiwan's Wu Shih Yi and was defeated 0:5, exiting the tournament. In the 55 kg category, Samandar Olimov achieved a dominant 5:0 victory over South Korea's Shin Jayeong, securing his place in the semifinals.

In the 75 kg weight class, Javokhir Abdurakhimov triumphed over Kazakhstan's Aman Konsbekov with a 4:1 score to advance to the next round. Additionally, in the 90 kg category, Nusratbek Tokhirov defeated Ukraine’s Bogdan Tolmachev 4:1 to move into the semifinals.

The bout in the 50 kg category did not take place as South Korea's Yeon Taegun withdrew from the tournament due to medical reasons. As a result, Asilbek Jalilov automatically advanced to the next stage.

Muhammadzizbek Ismoilov, competing in the 70 kg category, secured a 5:0 victory against South Korea's Kim Joonsu, earning his spot in the next round. In the 85 kg weight category, Jasurbek Yuldoshev defeated Australia's John Lachlan 5:0, finishing the day with a victory.
