
Uzbekistan, along with 11 other countries, will participate in the finals of the Open Esports Students Tournament for the game Dota 2. This was reported by TASS.
The final competitions will take place on December 20-21 in Moscow. Representatives from Argentina, Kazakhstan, and India will also take part.
According to Dmitry Smith, head of the Russian Esports Federation, this is the fourth time the tournament is being held. Smith additionally noted that this year saw a record number of applications—51—from foreign countries wishing to participate in the competition.
The Open Esports Students Games are annually held among students from various countries. In 2024, students from 38 nations competed in the tournament.
Dota 2 is a team-based strategic game in the MOBA genre, where two teams, each consisting of five players, compete to destroy the opposing team’s ancient structure known as the "Throne". Each player controls a unique hero with specific abilities and a distinctive role within the team.
