Mirziyoyev and Erdogan summarized the results of partnership in Ankara

At the conclusion of the fourth meeting of the High-Level Uzbekistan-Turkey Strategic Cooperation Council in Ankara, the heads of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, made statements to media representatives, summarizing the results of the negotiations.
First of all, Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked his Turkish counterpart for the warm hospitality, a high-level reception, and meaningful talks within the framework of the meeting. During the conversation, Turkey's great achievements in various fields in recent years, its authority and recognition in the international arena were especially noted.

The leaders noted that in recent years, Uzbek-Turkish relations of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership have reached a qualitatively new level. This is not just a slogan - the figures indicate this: last year, the volume of mutual trade exceeded 3 billion dollars, the number of joint ventures exceeded 2.2 thousand, and the total volume of assimilated investments amounted to about 10 billion dollars. The fact that about 100 flights are operated per week also shows that relations are "not on paper, but in practice."
It was also reported that a portfolio of projects worth 9 billion dollars has been formed with the participation of leading Turkish companies, decisions have been made on holding regular meetings of the Council and more effectively using the mechanisms of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Strategic Planning Group.

It was noted that both sides will continue the principle of "mutual support" in the international arena, and cooperation within the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Organization of Turkic States, and other structures will be consistently strengthened.
One of the biggest goals is to increase trade to $5 billion. This is planned to be achieved by expanding the range of goods within the framework of the Preferential Trade Agreement and strengthening industrial cooperation in priority sectors.

It's not just about the economy: special emphasis was placed on cultural and humanitarian exchanges. In particular, it was noted that issues of holding joint theater and film weeks, art exhibitions, as well as the development of pilgrimage tourism are on the agenda.
Based on the results of the meeting, it was noted that the governments of the two countries will adopt a comprehensive "roadmap" for the timely and high-quality implementation of the agreements reached. In short, the meeting in Ankara was not a "too much talk, too little work" format - on the contrary, it was a package of agreements that accelerated the work and gave a clear direction.
