Zenit and Russia national team defender Igor Diveyev shared an archived photo with fans. It shows 10-year-old Diveyev pictured next to Germany national team players. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The frame features Lukas Podolski, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mesut Ozil. The photo was taken before the 2010 World Cup qualifier Russia vs Germany, when the young Diveyev walked out onto the pitch with the players.
“My first time walking onto the pitch with our national team! And yes, together with Podolski, Schweinsteiger and Ozil,” Diveyev wrote.
As a reminder, in October 2009 at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, Russia lost to Germany 0–1, with Miroslav Klose scoring the only goal.
