Zenit and Russian national team defender Igor Diveyev posted a photo on social media taken years ago. In the image, a 10-year-old Diveyev is seen with German national team players. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The photo features Lukas Podolski, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Mesut Özil. It was taken before the Russia vs. Germany match during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Diveyev recalled that at the time, he walked onto the field with the players, marking his first appearance with the national team: "My first time on the field with our national team! Only with Podolski, Schweinsteiger, and Özil," he said.
It should be noted that in October 2009, during the game at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, Russia lost 0-1 to Germany, with the only goal scored by Miroslav Klose.
