Unlicensed driver strikes 11-year-old boy in Lacetti collision

Another traffic accident has been recorded in Tashkent. In the Chilanzar district of the capital, an individual without a driver's license lost control of a vehicle and struck an 11-year-old boy.
According to reports, the incident occurred on April 20, 2026, on a section of the ring road passing through the district. The driver of a Chevrolet Lacetti, traveling at high speed, lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and hit the pedestrian.
Witnesses noted that the car first struck iron poles and then crashed into a tree after destroying road barriers. Surveillance camera footage confirmed that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Following the impact, the injured boy initially attempted to stand up but collapsed shortly after. Road patrol service officers and medical teams arrived at the scene quickly.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital. His father reported that the boy was diagnosed with a concussion, head injuries, and various bruises on his legs. After several days, his condition improved, and he was discharged home.
Preliminary data indicates that there were several other passengers in the car besides the driver at the time of the incident. The driver has been detained, and an investigation into the case is currently underway.
Authorities stated that all necessary documents have been processed in accordance with official procedures, and the vehicle has been placed in a temporary impound lot.
