The work being done to improve the healthcare system in the Samarkand region is yielding results. Specifically, the "Navoiy" family polyclinic located in the Urgut district has undergone a complete transformation and acquired a completely new look in a short period.

It is reported that on December 18, 2025, this institution was in a state of near abandonment. Just four months later, it has become a modern, convenient, and well-equipped medical facility that meets contemporary standards. Doctors and medical staff working in the new building have returned after undergoing additional training courses and are now serving the population in improved conditions.

During her visit to the Samarkand region, Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva visited this area and familiarized herself with the conditions created at the polyclinic. She also visited the Haydarov family, a farming family, in the Urgut district.

The maternity ward in the renovated medical facility is particularly noteworthy. It serves the population of 16 villages and is equipped according to modern standards. It was noted that the first baby, Shavkatjon, was recently born right here. Saida Mirziyoyeva hailed this event as a positive outcome of the ongoing reforms, wishing the mother and child good health and the newborn a bright future.

"The maternity ward serving the women of these 16 villages meets the most modern requirements. Just the other day, the first baby – Shavkatjon – was born here. I saw this as a sign of the auspiciousness of all the work we have started.

We wish the mother and child robust health. May the new guest have a fortunate destiny!" wrote Saida Mirziyoyeva.

Currently, efforts aimed at further improving the quality of medical services in the Urgut district are consistently continuing. By the end of this year, it is planned to reconstruct 23 medical facilities and retrain 770 specialists. This will serve to make medical services more accessible and of higher quality for the population.

For reference, this polyclinic serves over 13,000 residents. The institution is equipped with modern medical equipment, and qualified specialists work here. The creation of all necessary conditions allows for the organization of primary healthcare at a high level.

In short, such renovations not only improve infrastructure but also significantly enhance people's quality of life and health.
