Land Lease Procedures Updated

The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced amendments and additions to the regulatory legal documents governing the leasing of agricultural land plots.

These changes were developed in accordance with adopted laws and the Presidential decree.

The amendments and additions include the following:

• The lessee of agricultural land must personally apply to a notary office to formalize an agreement for transferring their rights and obligations under the lease contract to another person. This can only be done if the main intended purpose of the land remains unchanged.
  
• Agricultural land can only be leased to another party in full. Rights and obligations under the lease agreement are transferred for the remaining duration of the lease.
