An important development has taken place in Uzbekistan’s fuel market — the starting price of AI-92 gasoline produced at the Bukhara Oil Refinery has been significantly reduced. Now, 1 liter of high-quality gasoline is being offered at 9,400 soums. This was reported on August 11 by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
According to the report, as part of the president’s instructions to provide the population with affordable and high-quality fuel products, the company is implementing a gradual price reduction strategy. At the Bukhara Oil Refinery, production processes have been optimized and comprehensive measures have been taken to reduce production costs. As a result, gasoline production volumes have increased, and prices have decreased.
In exchange trading, the initial price for 1 ton of AI-92 gasoline was reduced from 12 million 881 thousand soums to 12 million 628 thousand soums in the first stage. This means a starting price of 9,400 soums per liter. According to officials, this step will have a positive impact not only on the population but also on the entire fuel market.
The management of Uzbekneftegaz JSC stated that the price reduction process will continue, and in the future similar measures may be applied to high-octane fuel types as well. The company’s goal is to ensure the stability of the domestic market, protect consumer interests, and offer quality fuel products at affordable prices.
Financial and economic experts consider this process an important step that will strengthen market competition and stimulate economic growth. At the same time, the public has welcomed the price drop — many see it as a factor that will significantly reduce fuel expenses.
