In Uzbekistan, the number of motor vehicles is increasing year by year. According to the State Committee on Statistics, as of July 1 of the current year, the number of cars registered to individuals in our country reached 4 million 612.7 thousand.
It is noted that this figure is 441.5 thousand more compared to the same period last year. Among motor vehicles, the largest share belongs to passenger cars — their number amounts to 4 million 289 thousand. This accounts for 93 percent of the total number of vehicles.
The statistics are distributed as follows:

passenger cars — 4,289,000 units;

trucks — 302,600 units;

minibuses — 7,700 units;

special vehicles — 7,300 units;

buses — 6,100 units.
According to the committee, as of April 1 of the current year, the number of motor vehicles registered to individuals was 4 million 522.1 thousand. Thus, over the past three months, the vehicle fleet has also expanded significantly.
According to officials, the rate of purchasing new cars in the country remains high, which is directly linked to economic activity and the growth of the population’s standard of living.
