E-Gate Introduced at Tashkent Airport

The automated passport control system, E-Gate, has been fully implemented in the passenger reception area of Tashkent International Airport, Uzbekistan Airports reported. The identity verification process will now take only 15 to 20 seconds.

To pass through the turnstile, passengers only need to place their biometric passport and scan their face. Following the recent expansion work, the number of E-Gate system lines at the capital's airport has increased to 20.

This measure was implemented to significantly enhance passenger capacity and make the service more convenient. The company stated that the E-Gate system was first introduced at Tashkent Airport in the international terminal's departure hall in 2023.
