Flamengo states firm stance on Carrascal transfer

French club Marseille are considering the option of signing Flamengo midfielder Jorge Carrascal. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.

According to Diario AS, the Brazilian side are not planning to sell the 27-year-old player. Although the Provence club have shown serious interest in the Colombian, they cannot afford the transfer financially.

If an official offer arrives, Flamengo are ready to negotiate only for a fee above €25 million. Carrascal is an important part of head coach Filipe Luis’ system.

Carrascal previously played in Russia for CSKA and Dynamo Moscow. He joined Flamengo this summer for €12 million, with his contract running until 30 June 2029. Transfermarkt values the Colombian’s market price at €9 million.
