Russia national team coach Nikolay Pisarov shared his view on what the most suitable starting lineup for the national team could be at the moment. The specialist considers the 4-3-3 formation optimal, noting that this system allows the team to act based on its own game rather than the opponent’s. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
In an interview with Championat, Pisarov mentioned Agkatsev or Safonov as options in goal, adding that goalkeeping coach Vitaliy Kafanov will name the final choice. In his view, Osipenko and Diveyev will play in central defense, Krugovoy on the left, and on the right—depending on the opponent—either Vakhaniya or Silyanov could start.
In midfield, the coach would entrust the two holding roles to Kislyak and Barinov, with Batrakov positioned ahead of them. In attack, Golovin and Glushenkov are named for the wings, while Vorobyov is listed as the main candidate at center forward.
Pisarov also noted that Tyukavin could create serious competition for a starting spot if he returns to top form, and that Aleksey Miranchuk is also among the contenders for the squad.
Recall that by FIFA and UEFA decision, since 2022 the Russia national team has been unable to take part in official tournaments and has played only friendly matches.
