Uzhydromet has published the weather forecast for the period from December 31 to January 3. During the New Year holidays, weather across Uzbekistan is expected to be mostly changeable, with precipitation possible in some areas.
In Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, light rain is possible during the night and morning of December 31. From January 1 to 3, no precipitation is expected, though fog may occur. Night temperatures will range from 2°C below zero to 3°C above zero, while daytime temperatures will be between 0°C and 8°C.
In the Bukhara and Navoi regions, rain is possible on the night of December 31. January 1–2 will be dry, while on January 3 rain may turn into snow in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from 5°C to 15°C.
In Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions, rain is expected in some places on December 31. No precipitation is forecast for January 1–2, while on January 3 rain or snow may occur in certain areas. Temperatures will range from 3°C to 13°C.
In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, relatively warm weather is expected during the New Year holidays. Rain is possible on some days. Daytime temperatures will reach 7–15°C, while nighttime temperatures will range from 0°C to 10°C.
In the Fergana Valley regions, rain may occur in some places on January 1 and 3. Daytime temperatures will range from 3°C to 10°C.
In mountainous areas, rain and snow will occur from time to time, with heavy precipitation possible in some places. Nights will be cold, while daytime temperatures will remain between 0°C and 7°C.
Meteorologists advise exercising caution during the holidays in areas with fog and precipitation.
